Here is the link to see Fossil the GSH who lives in Sterling, Alaska. He came to Nome to hunt his first ptarmigan. While we had very rainy weather in town it was nice, brisk, snowy, & colder than his owners expected in the countryside. I was stuck in town working, wishing Boris and I could join them. We may see them this coming year as we are joining the Greatland NAVHDA (Alaska Chapter). Membership begins in January, I'll be testing both Boris and Bully for Natural Ability (a bit late but we will do it) then Utility:) Fossil's owners have invited us down their way, too, as we noticed they needed a smaller crate and possibly a jacket for the nights on Fossil back then. It was very exciting to meet them! Look at the last 6 pictures at the bottom of the page for Fossil. Since we will be traveling to train and test, I'd really better get a camera instead of the cell phone camera to get nice pics like these! greatlandnavhda.org/Hunting.htm

They are very good pictures---and beautiful, rugged country. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it all once you get things going.
Congratulations, and enjoy yourself(I'm SURE the dogs will).
