Ilana, this is the extract from the Polish Kennel Club regulations, I hope this will help.
"On every dog show in the country (i.e. Poland) a judge is entitled to grant the certificate for the show champion (CWC, in foreign countries CAC – certificate au championate).
The certificate may be granted to a dog or a bitch over 15 months of age, who received the excellent mark and first place in the intermediate, open, working and champion class, regardless the number of the competitors.

Some extra information: ATTENTION! Bitches and males from abroad with the Champion-title, which are awarded CWC/CAC in the intermediate-, open-, working- and champion class, receive automatically the title “Champion of Poland”.

Can some kind person clarify this for me?
In other words, if your dog is already a Champion from another country, should you win either of the above classes and be graded excellent, your dog would gain the title of Polish Champion? Which leads to my next question, if you already had a Champion why would they be in Intermediate or Open unless they were age restricted classes?

Champion from another country have to get 1xCAC to become Champion of Poland. It is not important in witch class (in one, not in all). But you can get excellent mark and win, and not get CAC (it's rare but it happens). I have read this 5 times and I'm not sure if I understand your question

A (foreign) Champion becomes PLCH when he wins CWC at WW Poznan 2006. It doesn't work at other shows in Poland, where you need to get 3xCWC from 3 different judges, at least one must be from CACIB or Club show and there need to be at least 6 months between 1st and last certificate (CWC).
Daniela, you can registed your Champion in Champion Class as well as in middle class (but only dogs that are 15-24 months old), open (15 months and more) or in working class (15 and more with FCI hunting certificate).
