Hello all! To become a Norwegian Show Champion, your dog has to be a field trial prize-winner. The dog needs 3 certificates from different judges, and one of the certs has to be a so called "large cert", normally awarded at the big Kennel Club shows. If the field trial prize is a 1. prize "Excellent", the title is in the bag, otherwise you have to keep on attending fieldtrials until the lucky day arrives! We also have two different hunting champion tiltes, based upon a system of winning points at trials. Note that the norwegian dogs attend the same trials, under the same rules as ALL the dogs of FCI group 7, including the british breeds. This explains the low number, and high value of theese titles.

I agree with what Stelei completely, but wanted to make the following comment: You can travel to Sweden and get a 1 prize there and become a show champion in Norway. (In Sweden they do not compete all-breed.) It's also worth mentioning that no Weimaraner has ever been awarded a 1 prize in a field trial in Norway.
