Just arrived from England this morning from a wonderfull holiday in the Lake District!!! It was great! Beautifull surroundings, wonderfull accomodation and dry!!!!! Had a great time. But it wasn't just a holiday. Mowgli (Dutch show champion Cira vom Weipen JW'00, W'00) was in season, and we found her the perfect stud in England (Charmist looking forward at longtails). We thought it was time for some new blood on the continent. Hope things worked out fine, although I'm not sure. Another 2 weeks and I might be able to palpate puppies.... More news about this mating will follow once I'm sure about the pregnancy.

Travelling to the UK wasn't too difficult. I've been to England before, when I entered Mowgli at Crufts 3 years ago. We went from Calais to Dover then and as I remember correctly, we paid €45 for a dog. This time we went from Rotterdam/Europoort to Hull. The stud lives in Blackpool and we stayed in the Lake District so Dover would be too far. Rotterdam/Hull was fine. We had to board two hours for departure and we disembarkation started 12 hours later. And that was quite long for the dogs. Once boarding, the dogs have to go in the kennels straight away. The whole trip costs about €450 for 2 persons, 2 dogs and a car. That's the cheapest you can get. I can definately recommend P&O, which is the only company that is allowed to transport dogs from Rotterdam.
