1) Attention, attention, attention, attention, attention, attention, attention, attention, and some food and water occassionally.
2) Whatever you are having.
3) Weimaraners are descended from German nobility and are known to have kept several Dukes of Weimar and other nobility in their castle.
4) Mostly napping.
5) Originally from Weimar, in the south of Germany-the Schwarzwald, Black Forest region. But, if he's sitting right in front of you looking VERY innocent, it probably means he just came in from the other room where you will find a mess from something he got into.
6) The Weimaraner is founded on the unalienable principle that Anything thrown MUST be retrieved.(no matter how chewed up, slobbery, muddy, disgusting or anything thing else) and the pursuit of happiness-which usually means the pursuit of something with four legs, or two legs and two wings, or well, forget the legs and wings as long as it is moving....
7) Fool him-at least not for very long.
8) They don't, other dogs only compare to Weims.

That describes Penny Lane in most ways. However, one change - it doesn't have to be moving or thrown. I was just in the master bathroom and I heard the sound of plastic rattling. I remembered a bag I had put there last night from Wal-mart but hadn't had time to put away yet. In that bag was new slippers for me - mostly because mine have had too much Weims silva and I can never find both of them at the same time. I always thought that it was separation anxiety to cause her to want to sleep on my slippers and didn't correct her for that. I have been sort of honored by it. However, these slippers are brand new and have never been out of the bag let alone on my feet. She apparently has a shoe/slipper fetish.

There needs to be more questions like:

What window covering are durable for use with Weims (she just destroyed a brand new mini blind yesterday);

Is there some way to get away from a Weim even for a minute behind a closed door?

If you tried them on, or just handled them to put them in the shopping cart, they have PLENTY of your smell on them Peggy. Remember, dogs are able to go back and tell us every footstep you made JUST by walking by, hours and sometimes even days later.

PS: the plastic bag is a PERFECT environment for holding your scent in, and also allowing your scent from other items to permeate the slippers. Even if you didn't handle the slippers yourself, they'd still have your scent on them from being closed up in the bag with other items that do have your scent.

Hi Fred:

That may be what happened. However, I thought later that it might also be she thought I bought her a new toy. We have been buying her more toys. Billy Ray and she play so well together and she goes through toys pretty quickly.

The vet's office has a wonderful closeout of neat toys that talk. I have been buying her a new one each time because they seem to fit her personality.

The first one was a rabbit in a little suit which said "forget about it" when she squeezed it. Her attitude when you try to take it away from her to throw it fits that even though it no longer talks. On Friday they had one that says "what ya doing" which is something that Billy Ray says constantly so I thought he would enjoy hearing her make the toy say it. However, we had another stop in the errand after the vet so let her play with it. Unfortunately it no longer talked by the time we got home she had worn it out.

Her toys have become a task for Billy Ray to take care of. She does surgically remove the squeaker in some but she brings it to Billy Ray who takes it to the garbage and she does pull the filling out and get it all over the floor but it is Billy Ray's responsibility to clean up after her. He does it very well and is proud to do it. I think he is a bit disappointed that the two newest ones are not being chewed up so he isn't cleaning up after her.

She is so funny.
