Anubis, 1 year old today!

Hi all,

Yes, it was Anubis his birthday today!
1 year old!!!!

Our search for a Weimy began earlier, got some guidance from Dorit Fiedler, Kobie from Flanders Joy, Anik from Greyzone and Edwin from GreyClassic's....
Their info (and warnings ) made us sure that we wanted this special dog, a Weimaraner

It seems like yesterday that we got him from Edwin & Kristina at Greyclassic, just a little puppy...
Our first walks, the potty training (he had only 4 "accidents", meanly our fault, not fast enough to open the door...), puppy class, A-class, now B-class, meeting new people on dog training, shows and offcourse on this forum...

A year full of love, but also at times we needed some help with this wonderful puppy because sometimes you just love the dog to much and need someone to tell you that it's OK to be hard (and strict) ....and also to trust your dog and his love for you (thx Edwin & Kristina)

And this forum is just a wonderful place for a dog owner with questions or pictures to share!
So thank you all for all the intel, hints&tips or just the comments to our pictures this last year...

I hope we can share this Weimy experience we all have for many years to come!!!

Happy Birthday Anubis - you lucky boy!!!

Yes, we can all be guilty of treating them like puppies for too long. I have learnt a lot since our first girl 11 years ago, whom we spoilt rotten but then got into 'proper' training at the age of 6. Just proves it's never too late.

Being hard and strict as you put may seem tough but I prefer to call it 'firm but fair'. They will work wonders for you when they know they can trust you.

Happy B'day!! I'm a Grey Classics fan too... Top class quality(dogs & breeders!!) Advice is soo important. My baby is growing too fast.. already 6months old. Enjoy your day :-)

Congratulations ANUBIS and Gilbert !!!!! Hope he had a special day !

I remember Gilbert, the day your family visited us. Full of excitement about the breed, waiting for a grey puppy. Unfortunately, we had to dissapoint you, we had only 5 puppies in Diddles last litter... They are btw now also one year old ! Almost the same age of Anubis !
But, I'm so happy for you that you finally found your grey one
