hello. I just want to buy my new puppy a collar and I dont know whick size is best. If possible, I wish I could buy a collar for a lifetime, I mean, perhaps a size that fits the neck always. which size is best? for now at least... He'll arrive with almost 8 weeks. Thanks deiota

you'll not be able to get a collar that will fit both a puppy and an adult dog for starters the width needed for an adult dog would completely swamp a little puppy. I brought four collars for my dog a tiny puppy one, a second one that last till round 6 months a third that lasted a year and then the final one which is leather and chain that has lasted years. Why not wait until you get your puppy before you choose a collar ?? You can't out them down until they've had their jabs anyway so you can carry them in and measure them up.

you're right.. that's what I'll do with choke collar. in the meantime I want him to get used to the leash, even if at home. which size? small or medium? thanks.

I don't use a choke collar... you could start puppy off with a thin nylon slip lead.
