Hello all. I'm pretty new here; still figuring out the boards and all. Thanks Marjolein for pointing out that I have to be logged in to post... Anyway, I'm an American living in Germany. Where I'm from (southern US), heartworm preventative is a year-round thing. Many of my German friends tell me they don't use it at all, or at least not in the coldest months. But our last 2 winters here have been pretty mild! Now that we're in Germany (3 yrs) I give it to Bear in all but Dec-Feb...I'm interested in what you all do with heartworm preventative. Thanks. Barb

We don't treat them in Holland either, simply b/c it's not present in this country (unless you go abroad of course).
