Hey all, I just wanted to share my joy, that "Ford Motor Company", one of the biggest car manufacturers in the World, for it's latest product - the New Ford Fiesta - video commercial chose a Weim! You can see a video on my website: www.weimaraner.ltAnd do not forget to turn the speakers on! By the way, you will not find video on the YouTube, since it has not been shown yet:) Enjoy!

Its not always such a great thing for the breed I know for some its great advertising but it usually means an influx of idiots with no real interest in the breed suddenly buying it, soon to discard it when the fashion changes This particular ad has been running in the UK for a couple of months now and so far gone to a degree gone unnoticed.

Tasha i agree with you. It's not good for the Weimaraner when they are getting too popular. This could be the danger for them, when people likes only the out side of our beautiful race.
But Fialco i can understand, you are happy and proud, they choose your dog to this Ford film.

Hey, girls, I agree that some advertising for some breeds made them enourmously popular, but do not be scared about this one. it is not the toy dog breed, it is not such a "family" dog as retriever, this is an icon of elegance. And it is not shown in a funny way, like the VW did with Jack Russel Terrier (or move "the Mask"). Check out the VW Polo adv which won the best car adv award on Lions de Cannes advertising contest (youtube: VW Polo singing dog). This would be a clear example of what makes breeds popular in a bad way.
