Hi everybody,
The topic of our January picture contest is:
!!! “lap dog weim” !!!
Picture submission starts now and ends at the 15th of the current month. Voting will start on 16th till the end of the month.
The winning picture will be on our forum banner during a month and enter the “Hall of Fame”!!!
The rules of the contest are: • ONE picture per member • you or your family are the author of the picture, it doesn't have to be YOUR dog that's on the picture in this case • Your dog is on the picture and the owner of the picture agrees you are using it • please, enter a short title, it helps to recognize it during voting! • entries are limited to 35 participants (technical reasons) • every member has just one vote (you may not vote for your own picture) • in case of a tie (more than one winning picture): run-off ballot during one day
We are looking forward to your pictures…

Hi Dorit, sorry if it would seem stupid, but what is a lap dog? Is this some kind of expression?

Glad to see its not a Wei lap dog, this is what a Wei should be doing. Tahr a Von Wasserschloss pup in Australia, says heaven is a master with a gun, long live the hunt.

Hi,
congrats to your hunting weim! Thanks for the pic, you two look really happy and proud. You are a very lucky man if you do nothing else than hunting with your dogs all day long.
Our weim hunts too, and lots of this forum do, a Weim is born to do it. But its not a full time/life job. Still they are also pets and live as full family members with us. That includes sometimes a "job" as lap dog too, they just love it, if you allow it, of course.
You know, its only a topic of a picture contest here, please, don't understand it as a statement what a job of a hunting dog must be.
Dorit

Hi, Well you are not quite right, my dogs I and hunt full time, I am a hunting guide and the the dogs and I work for a living by hunting, and at night they go home if they are not still working and sleep on my bed, no play hunting, I expect my dogs to find and point at least two deer a day while working in New Zealand. And I understand the picture topic, is not a statement about Wei but unfortunately it is a what most people nowdays buy a Wei for is it not.

I can see what you mean, we definately need more hunters with weims... but i can see no wrong in bonding with your dog after a good day of hunting

I know, I know it should be a picture of a weim as a lap dog. But Autumn has a different view of things. Why sit on a lap when the bottom is so much softer.
