It's been years, but our daughter used to run for excercise. She always took Baika, our German bitch, with her. Our daughter was never bothered and Baika never bit anybody.

Did our daughter use Baika's instincts - you tell me.

Edit: As I thought about this,. it occurred to me that the situation is analogous to the fire extinguisher I have hanging on the wall of my garage. Just because I've never used it, that doesn't mean I should throw it out.

I have really learned a lot through this thread! I`m happy to see that the truth is a little more neuanced than what I believed, and that there is progress and awareness of the mentallity amongst a lot of us.
