Although he has been with us a couple of weeks now, I noticed this forum so thought I would mention him. Silvershot's Semper Fi is sired by 2002 NFC 2005 NAFC FC AFC Grau Geist Lil's Gust V. Westend CD, MH, RE, SDX, RDX, VX, CGC NAVHDA UT ll and his dam is Silvershot's Mirage V Reiteralm NAVHDA UT l x 2 (she only missed out on her VC by one point as well, she will be having a second attempt at the VC later this year). His call name is Fi (pronounced as phi or as in Hi-Fi or Fido, not fe) So far we are more than pleased with him Full pedigree can be found here: www.weimaranerpedigrees.com/modules/animal/pedigree.php?pedid=123169EDITED: Posted link to wrong pedigree

Edited the OP because I posted a link to Fi's mums pedigree not Fi's.... Thanks for all the good wishes. He really is a lovely little chap with bags of enthusiasm and drive. As things stand he is showing good desire, pace, style and range. Retrieving is improving. He has settled in really well. So all in all we are still really pleased

It is rare but lovely to have potential new blood into the UK especially working lines, we've had some good imports lately with Daniellas boy, Mike & Richards boys and there was a litter or german longhairs recently from Nicky with another litter coming up hopefully this year, plus a couple of swedish dogs as well. Its certainly opening up the lines here which is lovely.

It is very interesting thats for sure. So what does your boy look like Mike, do you have any photos of him.? We had plans to import a dog pup but then with the credit crunch here, we had to drop all our plans.

He looks a bit different have a few pictures but none really do him justice, he looks SO much better moving than he does stationary! In fact he looks all legs and quite gawky when stationary. Will post a few pictures soon.
We had already paid for him when the credit crunch started and Jerry was so kind with what he charged us for board that despite the massive devaluation of the pound we more or less stayed on budget.

the value of the £ against the $ and even against the euro is definitely curbing some of my purchases. How old is he now Mike?? Mine are nearly a year old (April 23rd) and they went through a phase of looking all legs and gangly some of the photos I have definitely don't do them any justice.

Thanks Daniela (sorry I didn't get a chance to catch up at Crufts) He came into Heathrow, very easy. Only irritation was that I asked repeatedly how long it would take and was told 5 hours. Rang them on the day of pick up at 9am and he had been ready for one and a half hours and we still had a three hour drive ahead of us
