Dear friends, I finally got my camera hooked to my laptop and I feel I can start communicating from now on I've been reading the forum for over a month now after acquiring a wonderful loving Weim boy called Rukas (we brought him from Poland but we live in Vilnius, LT). He is a true bundle of joy and I want to deeply thank Irena (administrator of this forum) and a phenomenal plethora of knowledge) for great attention, advice and company (we drove to Latvia to play with other Weims over the summer) Rukas is responding well to clicker training and we have a strong recall but I am always scanning this forum for more training tools and personal experiences of other owners. There's nothing better than to see first hand how it's done! Thanks to all enthusiasts who are writing about ALL experiences and not only positive ones. There are not a lot of weimaraners in LT but we already have a wonderful play-buddy, Brera (FialCo) on this forum, we take them to the woods for a few hours a week. Our boy (he's 6.5 mo. now) surprised me last week with a quail in his mouth, which he released gently at my feet and the bird lived on. I guess good hunting spirit is rising Many thanks to all of you, because your posts are invaluable in bringing up a sound, smart and joyful animal. warm regards, Yana, Algis and weimie Rukas. p.s. would love to attach some pics but not sure how to do it...

Thanks, guys!
Our boy is growing so fast, he's almost 11months now and we decided to castrate him since he is our lovely pet and we don't plan to breed him and he started to take extraodinary interest in all sorts of bitches! He seems to have calmed down a bit since the operation and we hope he'll chill out even more once the hormones level out within a month.
cheers and more to come on the forum
