I'm Marjolein van Eijk and live in the Netherlands. I'm a veterinary nurse (for over 10 years now).
I'm the very proud owner of two longhaired Weim ladies.
The oldest is Mowgli (Dutch Champion Cira vom Weipen JW '00, W '00), import from Germany. Her father is Billy vom Lüssengraben from Austria and her mom Ayla vom Weipen from Germany. She's 5 and still doing great. She is a dog with great hunting ablities although I was unaware of that at that time. That's why I blew things big time . So never really achieved big things with her on that field. Showing was better and we even went to Crufts with her in 2002.
In 2003 she got her first litter from which I kept the one and only girl, Daantje (Mowgli Proudly Presents Daan, W '04). We used Dutch Champion Aipi du Sous-bois Argenté as a stud. Aipi has French, Belgium and American blood.
Daan is actually doing great. We did some simple tests at the Dutch Weim Club, which she passed. We also did some Field Trials, and she has won several prices (1st and 3th, 2 times and certificates of merit). Since she's only one, she was still in youth class, but I did some open class trials as well. She actually did great there, but the only thing we achieved was an invitation for the contest for the best Field Trials dogs in Holland (which I'm very proud of). Only 2 dogs qualified there and my Daan had a certificate of merit. Me = proud!!! ;D
We went to Germany as well for VJP and HZP. For the VJP she had 63 points (6 for hare, other parts all 10's and even a 11 for searching). The HZP she did great and had 179 points. This time she had two 11's, for searching again and for pointing.
At shows she's doing great as well. In Holland we have to wait till the dog is 27 months, before she can become Dutch or international champion. Well, I only need one more point after she becomes 27 months, and she'll be Dutch and international Champ.
And on top of everything, we're going to Crufts 2005!!!
Mowgli will be bred from somewhere in Januari and Daantje at the end of next year!
Till then, hunting, trialing and showing!!!
This is Daantje...
And this is her mom Mowgli
