Hi
My name is Joan and I live in Wales, which is part of the UK for those who don't know.
I have 3 Weimaraners, Jasmin aged 8, who is mother to Ellie, 6 in March and Jake 4 in February.
I was introduced to the breed many years ago and got my first Weimaraner, Remus way back in 1967

Hi everyone, At last I have found a minute to tell you a little about myself. I have been involved in the show scene since I was a very small child as my parents had Great Danes. I won the child handlers at the Melbourne Royal Show which is the biggest show in the Southern Hemisphere when I was 7 years old, so I guess you could say I have been around awhile. I have been breeding Weimaraners for 34 years this year and have bred 42 Champions which include 4 New Zealand champions. You can check our the history of Grauhund Kennels on my website and I apologise for it being a little out of date. It is www.grauhund.com The Weims I currently own are Holly - aged 15 in March (Gr. Ch. Grauhund Nite Moves (AI) Flirt - aged 8 in February (Ch. Grauhund An Affair T'Rembr) Levi - aged 7.5 yrs (Amer Ch. Aust. Gr. Ch. Colsidex Grauhund Just Jeans (Imp USA), Juggler - aged 8 years who lives with my daughter (Ch. Gunalt Clowning Around at Grauhund (Imp UK) Cricket - aged 17 months (Ch. Divani New Kidn Town) Amy - aged 5 years who lives with my best friend (Gr. Ch. Kadma Touched by an Angel) Shimmer - aged 3 years lives with a friend (Ch. Grauhund Nite Lights), Wink - aged 9 months lives with my best friend (Grauhund Winkov an Eye) & Boomer - aged 18 months (Amer. Ch. Nani's Sovereign Cross Check JH (Imp USA). My dogs are not kennel dogs although some are in the dog area during the day but come up at night, they are first and foremost my mates before being showdogs. They have there own area with their own couches - spoilt you might say as Weims should be. I am kept busy with showing with great success having bred and shown multiple Best in show winners. I also have my Gundog (Sporting dog) licence and trainee for Non-Sporting group and two of my biggest thrills was judging the Top 20 competition at the Weimaraner Club of America National in 2003 and recently judging the Weimaraner Club of Colombus specialty show where they received a record entry of 137 Weims. the Miami Valley Vizsla specialty and part of Sporting dogs at the Echo Hills Kennel Club all breed show. My next assignment overseas is judging bitches at the North of England Weimaraner Society specialty show in 2007. I can't wait. The next exciting event at Grauhund is the welcoming of Boomer home from quarantine in 12 more days, not that I am counting. He is handling quarantine very well and has a wonderful easy temperment which I feel will get him through anything. I will write more in the Import section. I will be interested to hear comments about my website and look forward to joining in on any topics I feel I can talk about. Carol

You have a very nice website Carol!!! Most impressive. I'm a little confused though, are you in Australia? Are you in UK now--or should I move your topic here to another thread, being under the thread "Another UK Member" gave me the impression that you must be in UK now. We also have several other Australian members. This is no problem at all, maybe just a little confusing.

HI Joan Welcome to the board - it is great to find so many wei people all at once!! Tell me it wasnt Ragstone remus your first dog!! I spent my childhood reading thru Ernst harts wei book.
Hi also Carol (for wetdog) Lucky for us Carol from Grauhund is still in Australia not UK otherwise we wouldnt be seeing her new boy Boomer out of quarantine here soon. Good to see you on the wei board Carol (there sure are quite a few of us aussies on board now.) Maybe you should start a new thread for her - see I have the terminology already. cheers ingrid

Fancy seeing you here Joan. Definitely an international flavour to this forum and so interesting to read about weims in other countries.
