Hi everyone. I have just returned after a week 'on the road' traveling to the shows in Canberra. I went with a friend and her 3 Labradors so was only able to take 2 of our Weis. It took us 2 days to drive to Canberra and we stayed in a caravan at the show grounds. This was great for the dogs as we were able to park our car and dog trailer next to the van under the shade but it was a long way to the toilets and showers! It was freezing at night too but the days were nice and sunny. Friday was an all breeds show and Sabi won the Sweepstakes (21 entries). I didn't enter all the shows as I had friends judging. Our young Labrador had a great weekend, winning Best Of Breed at 3 of the 4 shows including 2 Puppy In Groups and Runner Up Best In Group. It was great to catch up with everyone.
Congratulations to all the winners - they were all lovely. Both Dash and Diva are really spectacular show dogs. There were some lovely dogs and bitches there. Suzy's Harry is a really promising youngster. We came home via a town that had a mid-week show and it was awful weather. Very hot, dry and dusty. There were 5 Weis entered and Faith won Best Of Breed and Sabi won Runner Up Best of Breed (beating the Ch dog) and Minor Puppy In Group. Was great to get home however - nothing like your own bed .
