We have today just got back from our holiday in Canada to the news that my beloved Tikka has died whilst in kennels. It looks like she torsioned. They found her dead in the kennel last Thursday. She had been out running with the others the previous evening and at 8am they found her.
I cant believe it.... my baby is gone.

What terrible news, I am so sorry for you Lynn. I hope the pain fades soon, and you'll always remember Tikka with fondness and a smile.

My thoughts are with you in this time of crushing loss. It's tough to breathe after something like this happens. I hope that you please find something that will bring you peace, perhaps gazing at a favorite photo of your dear Tikka, or when you are ready, maybe you'd like to share a special story about Tikka that always makes you smile. We will all be ready to hear it when you're ready to tell it. Cassandra

I lost my boy to bloat in kennels He died the morning we were to collect him. We were at Crufts staying in the hotel as I was working there so I put the dogs in kennels where they had gone many times. On the Monday morning we were awoken to a phone call from the kennels.....the worst news was given, Marcus had died. I know exactly how you feel Lynn & sympathise with you, it is such an awful thing to happen. I blamed myself of course & it also hurt that I thought he had died with only his mother there (who was stressed to say the least) & not me. I have never put my dogs in kennels since, luckily I have an extremely good friend that will look after them if necessary. Very sad Lynn, so sorry.

Lynn, i am so sorry for your loss. Tikki is on Rainbow Bridge now and will be happy there. You get a Big Hug from my Bacchus, who bloat in Kennels too, but they found him in time and he had a surgery to protect him the coming years. So he had luck. Big Hugs from me too and i hope that time will heal your pain. Ina

Thank you for all your kind thoughts and the hugs.
Went to my first show since it happened and although I was sad it was nice seeing all the weimies. I was kept busy with the raffle which raised lots of money for the rescue.

Hi Lynn, I haven't been on this site for ages and when I do I find this. I am so sorry for your loss.
Since losing Abbie I realise that these beautiful beasts are only on loan to us for a short while and that we must make the most of every minute with them. All they ask in return is that we love them whilst they are with us and Tikka was certainly loved.
In time the load will lighten and that pain in your heart will melt into nice memories.
Big hugs x x x
