I have just got this terms magasine through from the British Deer Society and they have a recommendation for a new book that has been translated from the dutch original into english with some changes specifically for the UK market. The book is called 'Working with Dogs for Deer' by Niels Sondergaard. This book has been deemed very comprehensive by the deer society so it comes with a good recommendation and will be worth a read if you are interested in deer stalking or work with your dog. You can purchase a copy through the BDS website www.bds.org.uk for £29.95. www.bds.org.uk/product31.htmlOther recommendations are Guy Wallace's booklets www.bds.org.uk/product34.html, John Jeanneney book on tracking www.bds.org.uk/product32.html and finally Hunter Adair www.bds.org.uk/product33.htmlI have both the booklet by Guy Wallace and the John Jeanneney book which I can highly recommend and am just about to make a purchase of the other two books for a bit of summer reading. I attended a training course with Guy Wallace a couple of years ago and have to say it was great fun.
