Our Rufus is having some potty training problems. We have been crate traniing and take him out every hour or so when we are home. He knows he gets a treat if goes outside and he gets upset when he goes inside but he still tries to run off and go in the house every chance he gets. He is only 9 weeks still so we expect accidents but does anyone have any potty training tricks that they have found worked?

You have to be patience with such a young dog. It's absolutely normal that he has still problems ;D
You just have to let him outside every time he wakes up, just had eaten, .....
Also leave some droppings of him outsite, don't clean each time... I'm sure he will understand quick that he need to do his droppings outside.

I have not tried the droppings thing before but that sounds promising. I keep forgetting how young he is since he so much bigger than our Boston Terrier already. Thank you.

Rufus is doing great with his potty training now thanks everyone. We're down to only 2-3 accidents a week which are usually my fault and not his. Thanks for everyone's advice.
