Capri (Oceans sister) is in the vets right now being aneasthetised and having a laceration sutured. I hate it when that happens!!! Not sure exactly how she did it. It is on the top of her brow between her eyes about 1 1/2 inches long and right thru the skin layer. My poor baby. Cyd

Hi Cyd, That's such a shame, poor girl! Uncle Phantom and cousins say to give her a kiss for us. You might be surprised how well it will heal. I had one with an old abcess right on the top of her head, not much blood supply or hair to hide anything there. Not one single clue that anything ever happened! Beautiful, smooth, shiny coat. No scar, no discolouration, nothing. Nothing like those 'Mysteries' hey? I had one lose the bottom inch or more of ear, and no clue how it happened. And no ear! Ick!! Wendy

Well she is back, a lovely big bald patch on her forehead and 4 stitches. She was howling the place down when I got there.........lol Hope she heals well and without a scar although I could always call it a hunting one.... ;)VBG

Bless her. Hopefully it will heal OK. I once saw a bitch who had stuck her head through some wire fencing. She tore the side of her face open and the skin was hanging off like a floppy piece of rag. The vet didn't shave the area and stitched it straight up. No scar, no nothing and she was perfectly fine.

Thanks for your good wishes all. Capri this morning is bright as a button, looks like i wont need the "bucket" man I hate those things. The vet shaved her but thats ok. Actually I was considering asking to do the stitching myself as I do that in my job but then thought I might botch it up and never be able to forgive myself.....lol

Cyd, its a good thing MistyRose isn't there, she'd be licking a raw spot or licking a hole into poor Capri's head...she's a neat freak! So happy she's doing well and doesn't need the bucket! Where's Capri's picture? Or better yet, Ocean AND Capri:)? (Guess I'd better post a picture of Bully, too!
