Hello I'm a relativley new owner My Weimaraner name is Thor he is 8 months old and huge and I'm having a terrable time with him. He is so Hyper and I can not get him to calm down while he is indoors even outside after a long walk, or while i'm petting him he still jumps and is wound up. Thor is in to everything Chewing, Digging Barks at everything Thor believes this is his house and he makes the rules. He jumps and claws on my little girls so much that I had to move him outside. He's just plays but they are very young and now they want nothing to do with him I want him in the house. what can I do?
He also will not be house broken. He messes all over.

Hmm, very annoying I think. I'm not saying this is the case in your household too, but often the problem lies with the owners, and not with the dog. If that's the case, you have to change yrou attitude towards your dog. For example, when he's coming to you for a hug, ignore him. When he gets the point and walks away, call him back and hug him. When you feed him, tell him to sit till you give a command. In other words, change your behaviour towards him. Make sure he understands that you're the boss and not him. I think it might be a bit too complicated for you to do it alone, and I would certainly advise you to get the help of a trainer.

Hi, where do you live, if you are in the UK I can probably recommend a reputable trainer in your area.
