Schutzhund training uses the dog's natural prey drive and play instincts to teach it to attack the padded arm sleeve on command. It does NOT teach the dog to be aggressive or vicious---unless it is done incorrectly.
A Schutzhund dog must first pass an obedience test before it is allowed to continue to bite work. Schutzhund consists of three parts--obedience, tracking and protection. It is working police dog training as a competitive sport.
German Shepherds, Dobermans and other breeds are required to pass Schutzhund tests in Germany and many other places before they can be certified for breeding.
Training does not "make" dogs aggressive--that is already there--the whole point of the training is to have control so that it can be used only if and when needed. There are many working police dogs that visit schools and public events as part of their public relations duties.
If you want to do Schutzhund with Bonnie go ahead---but work with a recognized club or trainer---if you see someone who is more concerned with"aggression" than with trainability and control---run the other way as fast as you can.
