Huntingtests

Today, it was the first huntingtest of this year in Belgium...
Judges were Mr. De Houwer (B) and Mr. Klijsen (Ned).

We participated with Ginger for the basic test, most entries were young dogs.
Total entries for the basic tests were 9 dogs.

This is the result of Ginger:
All these tests are with real gunshots and game:

Follow the hunter on leach and without leach: 20/20
Hold the spot for 2 min.: 20/20
Retreive from land: 18/20
Retreive out of deep water: 20/20
Global obedience: 19/20

Ginger ended 1st of 9 dogs with 97/100 points.

We are now training for the advanced huntingtest.
We were also delighted to see Kristina with Allegro. Allegro ended 5th of 9 dogs with 79/100 points. He also did a great job !

Ginger is very well trained!!! I enjoyed to watch her doing the tasks.

For me to participe in Belgium on this kind of a trial, it was a totaly new expirience. I came unprepared, as I made the pause of training for 3 months. But I learned a lot and I am looking forward to new, higher levels on wich I will give my best to come best prepared...
Allegro surpriced me so positive today when the judge gave us the oportunity to try to participate on markeren test. He went straight line where the duck fell down (remembered the distance) and found her within just few minutes, very fast...

All the judges vere very kind and very strict and explained a lot and helped to trainers with good advices...

Everey manifestation like this is a good opportunity for owner and the dog to learn more and more...

It was great! Barbecue also - yuuuuummy hehehe!
