Yes, perhaps we could add new section to the forum called 'Fashions in the Ring' and have a contest to post photos of the wackiest show outfits you see at a show. I've seen some guys with really nice electric blue suits around the place. Of course we'd have to blur out the faces like they do on the news with criminals.

Heidi, I also wouldn't wear a dress! nor a long wide skirt:) But this skirt is ok! But color, in my opinion, is too eee dark? sharp? Just no offense, but this color makes your face look more red, not natural:) If you'd wear this outside, I think you would look just great:) But inside, with artificial lights, this color is too sharp. As you have blond hair, I would recommend other colors:) this one is also too sharp, but looks nice:) this one has a long skirt, but I like the color:) It's just my opinion, do not accept it word by word! I myself always prefer dark colors, 'cause they make me look thinner:) Next time, when the show is inside, I probably would wear high-heel shoes ( I feel comfortable with them!) because they suite better to all those suits:)

BTW, I think you look great in your outfit. I think as long as you are comfortable (know you can manoeuvre in what you are wearing) and it's fairly smart then I wouldn't worry about it too much. Personally I try and avoid bright colours because of my colouring (I'm a red head). Grey is certainly avoidable unless you ever show a dog with a broken topline, and then it can work wonders

Daniela An OP shop is a second hand clothing or furniture shop with cheap gear in it fialCo Thankyou for ur honesty I have no choice but to red the outfit to our first show as its only tomorrow & can't get another one by than but I take ur comments on board. Just a question though: Why not wear a long wide skirt? Cheers Heidi

I would never wear high-heel shoes in a ring it is not comfortable and you can not run normally and if you can't run fast you can't show a dog, well in FialCo case Brera is still only 4 month old pup,but just wait until she grows up. Once I have seen one woman showing Scottish shepherd and she was wearing high-heel shoes, when she was running in the ring she looked just ugly everything was shaking she couldn't run in a long strides and the dog couldn't normally run near by. This is my experience and I would never want to look like that woman did.

Well, it depends. Speaking about long wide skirt, you just gonna mess up in it! When running with a dog near, the skirt could round your legs or smth:) And speaking about high heel shoes, my heels are only 4-6cm height:) So...I juts think I look better with them, than with sneakers:) And finally, Heidi, I am absolutely sure, you will look just perfect with your suit and dog! Good luck to you:)

Routing around second hand shops is one of my favourite past times! I just love finding vintage bits and pieces.

me too, one of my best mates is a vintage fanatic so holds parties where you have to come in authentic gear.. any excuse to wear something yummy I mean you can't wear a 1920's flapper dress to just any old party now can you :-)
