Hello, Our first show, well its all over & done with........phew! "Cash" my 6 month old LH Wei & I were very nervous, we were the only LH Wei. Cash did not stay still for the judge when she examined him & sat down & shyed away which was very surprising . I had been doing show dog training a couple of times a week for the past 4 weeks where the show was & he did fine there, he was as solid as a rock. We than did our run around the ring which I was happy with & he kiinda self stacked at the end wich was good But the judge said she can't award me a challenge or give me points as she did not think he was worthy of being a champion at this stage. She said because he was BUM HIGH! & this may sort itself out when he grows

Congrats on a new start:) Don't worry about stacking or very good behaviour. Every judge knows that he is still a puppy:) At my first show I also made few mistakes, e.g. took a dog from a right side:) Though I trained myself and my dog to keep the left side, when running in the ring.. Brera also likes to jump while running, so... These are not serious faults while dogs are young. Of course, I should really confuse about Brera's will to show her teeth, because now she is very shy about it and starts to tumble:) so, keep on practising Heidi, you are doing very well!

Well done Heidi and Cash. I remember when I first started out showing, I was so nervous waiting to go into my handling class that I actually threw up all down the front of my nice sikly green blouse..... Nice.

I'll likely be having the same experience as you just did at Henry's first show in less than a month! It was just her first one so don't be too upset. I think they're all a bit nutty in there the first time probably.

Thanks Guys, Well Cash had his 2nd show on the w/end & exactley the same thing happened. Through out the week I had tested him with strangers & have found he is very shy when they touch him so at least I know the problem to fix Even worse I lost him as I went round the ring as my lead seperated from his check chain by the clip Oh Well! The show must go on & I'm enjoyed it
