I have another 6 month old pup needing a new home.
He is called Dexter and thru no fault of his own he requires a new home. The owners have done quite a lot of training with him but the girl is now pregnant and doesnt want the dog around. They are looking for a new home for him. He jumps up at her when she comes in from work and she is tired?? In other words he is in the way.
I have to home him after the bank holiday weekend, so I am desperate for a foster home or permanent home if poss.....
COuld anyone help. Could someone possibly post this on the "other forum" to spread the word, but please put my e mail addy and not my phone number. All enquiries to kidmal.weimaraners@ntlworld.com
Thanks for you help
Lynn

wonderful news Lynn - not only does the little lad get a new home, but some loving owners get a new bundle of trouble to fill that painful hole, having lost an old friend.... :-)

Poor dexters forever home fell thru when in the car on his way the man (who had trained bull mastiff and other large breeds) was trying to dominate him and make him lie down and he bit the man. Not badly, but enough for the woman to stop the car and tie the poor dog to a lamppost. She then rang the owner and demanded that he go and collect the dog.
Unfortunately he is now in kennels and showing no signs of agression. I think he was just reallystressed out at being in a strange car with people he didnt know.
The good news is that I have another couple who would like him, but the man is waiting for an op on his knee so cannot travel to come up and see him.
Thanks for the support everyone. I really do appreciate it....

I just don't believe it!
Well - I suppose the best that we can say is at least the poor dog isn't with this couple...
Who would try to dominate a scared 6 month old puppy, in a car, having just met him? He's best off finding another home! I wish I was nearer, so that he could stay with us until a new home could be found.... But I'm too far away, and with a 18-week old puppy, and a recovering ol' lady, it would probaby not be the best for him...
Hope he finds the RIGHT home soon!!

So wasn't the new home assessed properly?

Of course it was, they had had a weim before as a rescue but not thru WCGB rescue. The home was assessed by a fully paid up member of the Club, as no doubt you have done before, but I wasnt aware that a relative was going to collect the dog. It was the relative who was dominant with the dog.
You of all people know how the club rescue works so why the question?

I don't think you should use that tone Lynn, Joan was simply asking a question.
