Last Thursday a Weimaraner friend of mine was walking her dogs in Breda on an industrial area. Suddenly she heard a loud bang and fell down. She phoned her husband who knew where she was and he contacted the ambulance straight away. In the hospital she had to undergo emergency surgery coz apperantly she had a shot wound. They had to remove her spleen, a kidney and part of her pancreas. The next day she had an internal bleeding so she had to go into the operation theatre again but thank goodness that wasn't too serious. Sunday things looked a bit better and she was moved of the ICU to another ward. Close relatives where allowed to visit her. Suddenly things turned the wrong way last night and she died of complications. I am shocked. How can something like this happen? ? www.bndestem.nl/breda/article2221472.ece

The cops don't have a clue yet unfortunately. All they know she was shot with a big calibre.

Marjolein,
This is horrific, no wonder you are in shock.
And her poor family must also be in bits.
It says a lot of the world that we live in today, when this can happen anywhere to anyone. Thankfully she had her phone, that at least gave her a chance, maybe a point for us all to think about.
Thinking of you all,
Nina and Duncan x

I am so sad she died Mar. I was routing for her.
It is unbelieveable that you go out for a nice walk with your dog/s and this sort of thing happens. Sincere condolences to the family and I hope the shooter rots in hell.

I still can't believe that it was this lovely person, she was so generous with her time and her explanations about what was going on in the trials when we were in Holland, an absolute waste of life taken by someone with no care or consideration for life

I am so sorry to hear of this! I am also thankful she had a phone to call her husband and he could be with her and their dogs even for a short while for her! Otherwise, what would have happened?! Big hugs to you Mar. Cheryl
