We (Iza & Marek) will be at the show since.... well, we live here... ;D We will be without dogs this time , but ready to write down the results and make photos . If there are a few forum members coming 1-2 days prior to show, we could arrange a forum "dog-walk-meeting" on Saturday or Friday. I hope the weather will allow to walk with dogs. We have rain and ... snow in November, sometimes...

What a pitty Ina... Today I found out that near the show ground, across the road there is a ZOO. I have a question for Paulina: Can you please find out if it's alowed to go in with a dog to visit the ZOO?
And another very interesting place is a lake Maltanskie, also not so very far from the show ground (I think)... Can you, Paulina, please find out, if it's allowed to go there with dogs? If it will not be too cold for a swimm, of course!
And is there a good place (big park, or a field) that you can reccomend to us where we can maybe also arrange meeting on saturday outside the show ground (Int. fair) where the dogs could run freely and relaxed without a danger to run on the streets?. And of course, for us, girls, do you know where we can go shopping (nice modern clothes, girls stuff...) near the show ground??? ;D

I have a question for Paulina: Can you please find out if it's alowed to go in with a dog to visit the ZOO?Paulina doesn't live in Poznań. I do. It is absolutely NOT ALLOWED to enter the ZOO with a dog. We have two ZOOs in Poznań. The one at the fair ground is "the old one", just a few animals and a few pavilions. It is just a "visiting card" of the big new one. And another very interesting place is a lake Maltanskie, also not so very far from the show ground (I think)... Can you, Paulina, please find out, if it's allowed to go there with dogs? If it will not be too cold for a swimm, of course! You can walk with a dog there but it must be kept on the lead. You could get fined. :(The lake is not a natural lake, sometimes they empty it to clean the lake bottom. The water is dirty. The lake is made for canoe races. It is not the best place for such a meeting. And is there a good place (big park, or a field) that you can reccomend to us where we can maybe also arrange meeting on saturday outside the show ground (Int. fair) where the dogs could run freely and relaxed without a danger to run on the streets?.
I have already considered a few places. When I know how many of you would come I will suggest a good place. And of course, for us, girls, do you know where we can go shopping (nice modern clothes, girls stuff...) near the show ground??? ;D I will list you a few places later. Shops close at 2 pm on Saturdays. But you can go shopping to malls, they are open until 9-10 pm.

Jurate and me we are comming early saturday ( maybe even night), we;ll stay near Poznan, 11 km to the center, Iza said, there is a nice place to meet and nice place for our dogs:) Well, in any case we would be very very glad to meet you all! I hope Irena and Adatele are comming with us too, but still don't have the answer... And the motel reservations are unconfirmed:) But, as we all are enthusiastic, we really gonna get there, no matter what:)

Answering Weiz4eva's post I realized that 11th Nov (Saturday before THE DAY) was Independence Day - a great Polish national holiday. Which means that all shops will be closed, dear girls......

hehe:) By the last details, our crew contains of : Adatele +1(?), Jurate and Povilas, Migle and Tomas, Irena and Fred, so totally 8 people and 4 dogs:) Reservations are confirmed, fees are also payed, so we are comming on early saturday morning, and have plenty of time to meet you all. If it is a national holiday, it's just great, because as I imagine, there would be lots of events in the city? So put us in a meeting "wishlist" on Saturday:)

Dear all, I am about to have a good place for this dog-walk meeting. I will know the details in a few coming days. (The place will be probably not far from the city center). The best day for the meeting will be Saturday I think. As I know a few of you are coming on Saturday morning, so please advice me: what time could the meeting start? Remember that the sun shines at 3.23 pm. It is November! And please tell all your friends - weim owners that we are meeting.

Hi Iza,
my suggestion is to start approx 1 pm in the afternoon. In the morning/am, maybe it's still too cold. When we have a sunny day, the temperature will rise.... When we have all afternoon, we can chat and let the dogs play. If it gets dark, we can still see what we will do at that time. Will you please also send the correct adress in this post ?

Hello:) Iza, as you know, I was looking for a good place for a walk with my Grey's in Poznan and I love to join this weimie-meeting with Cisa&Fritz. We'll be in Poznan from Thursday, so...friday for sure we'll go somewhere out of Poznan with dogs (on the early morning) and then we are going to watch the show - saluki's and RR's, but saturday...sounds just great this meeting I also think 1 pm is very good time, still not too cold, like after 3 pm for example. Going forward to hear some news and details from You. Greetings, Ania

I was thinking about the evening, maybe we could go sit somewhere, have a drink or two after our picnic? Maybe someone could reserve places? Cause we wouldn't manage to stay outside very long because of the cold:)
